Non-Resident Card Information
July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011
Wood River Public Library participates in the Illinois Non-Resident Card Program by using the Tax Bill Method.
Please find the following information as an example to see how the fee is calculated.
Tax Bill Method for Home / Property Owners: The library's tax rate is .3072 which is then multiplied with the
valuation of the non-resident's property assessment. The non-resident must bring in the most recent tax bill which
at that time the fee will be calculated.
Tax Bill Method for Renters: The library will charge 15% of the individual's monthly rent which must be proven via current
lease or monthly renter's receipt. Example: If the monthly rent is $500, multiplied by 15%, the non-resident card
would cost the patron $75 dollars.
***A non-resident card is only good for 1 year from date of payment***
