Gale Virtual Reference Library

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely from home 24 hours a day. Need a Card?

To apply for a library card at the
Wood River Library you need the following:

A current utility bill, phone bill, bank statement, or any other bill / statement that shows you pay financial responsibility to the address listed.

Your current State ID or Drivers License

Once you have your card, you may use it at ANY library in the Illinois Heartland Library System. You must simply apply for a card in the same city or village that you live in.
